KALAS from KALI
The 15 kalas of Kali-Arachne are the lunations of Her dark
fortnight (the waning moon) while the sixteenth is
MahaKala ('Great Kala') Himself -the rays/colours of TimEmiT from the
Black Void (Kali), creating form.
In terms of secretions, the 'great kala' is the seminal lifeforce which comes
from/is Mahakala who Himself comes from (and returns
to via orgasm) Her womb. Thus semen as
creation and destruction is the Great Kala of death
and birth -cycles of timemit.
The 8-rayed web (woven ritually through the canvas) projects the outer rays, together with the spaces inbetween the 16 kalas of timemit are formed.
